Mimosa is situated in Grahamstown, the educational and festival hub of the Eastern Cape Makana Region. There are wonderful opportunities to explore the Eastern Cape from this remarkable, historic city.
Mimosa is able to accommodate eleven (11) people in two private units, one a four bedroom house (MIMOSA MAIN HOUSE) and secondly, a two bedroom cottage (MIMOSA GUEST COTTAGE). These two self-catering units are booked separately.
Both units have access to an elegant charcoal swimming pool available for all of our guests’ enjoyment. Wi-fi is available throughout the property.
MIMOSA MAIN HOUSE:
Main Bedroom: The large, elegant main bedroom is luxuriously furnished including a king-size bed and boasts a Victorian fireplace, with access to a private en0suite bathroom.
Second Bedroom: The second bedroom is tastefully furnished with a queen-sized bed.
Third Bedroom: The third bedroom is elegantly furnished with two single beds.
Fourth Bedroom: The fourth bedroom is a younger child’s dream with one single bed.
All bed linen used in our guestrooms is the finest quality 100% cotton percale.
A private bathroom, shared between the guest rooms has Charlotte Rhys toiletries and quality bath sheets.
In the fully equipped kitchen and scullery, available for guests’ use, you will find all the necessities to make your stay comfortable.
An open plan living and dining room together with the kitchen, opens up to a patio and braai area, ideal for the family who enjoys entertaining. The patio overlooks the lush garden.
MIMOSA GUEST COTTAGE:
Main Bedroom: The large, elegant main bedroom is luxuriously furnished including a king-size bed and boasts a Victorian fireplace, sitting area and TV with free Wi-Fi.
Second Bedroom: The second bedroom, also with a Victorian fireplace, is beautifully furnished with two single beds that can be combined to provide another king-size bed.
All bed linen used in our guestrooms is the finest quality 100% cotton percale.
A private bathroom, shared between the two guest rooms has Charlotte Rhys toiletries and quality bath sheets.
In the fully equipped kitchenette, available for guests’ use, you will find all the necessities to make your stay comfortable.
Both rooms have access to a private veranda which overlooks a beautiful garden and an elegant charcoal swimming pool available for all of our guests’ enjoyment.

Best stay ever
Mimosa is the best self catering unit I've ever used. Memre has thought of every little detail. The place is cosy and spotless. Whatever you need, she has thought of it. She has put a lot of love in how the place is furnished. The fresh flowers are the cherry on top. The quality of the hand/bath products, amazing. Thank you so much Memre.

A special find
My wife recently stayed at Mimosa. A beautifully appointed apartment...where tremendous thought has been given to anything you might need. The rooms are all stylish and comfortable, and they even put the heater on in the room prior to my arrival to warm it up. We will definitely be back!

Superb accommodation
Impeccably clean and well decorated accommodation. Good security and lovely garden setting. Lovely big bed. Thoughtful touches throughout and delicious rusks to enjoy. Won’t hesitate to stay there again. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Stylish self-catering
The unit is spacious, stylishly decorated and comfortable. It is clear that a lot of though had gone into what the typical traveller would need and was catered for. Service was excellent, there was also private and secure parking - highly recommended for a family of up to 4…

Best stay
Breath-taking accommodation. Memre thought of every detail. I will recommend Mimosa to all my family and friends visiting Grahamstown. Thank you so much Memre, we had a wonderful stay. My husband was actually amazed on how much thought you've put into this beautiful cosy place. It is not always when you get somewhere and realise they offer the same coffee and sweetener you use at home, that was just hallelujah for us.

A wonderful experience!
Mimosa is a charming, quite luxurious b&b in Grahamstown. It was perfect for our family of four, and Memre went out of her way to make us feel welcome and treated. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, and even in mid-winter we were cosy and comfortable. We'll definitely be back, and we can't recommend it more highly - a really special experience!

Wonderful hospitality
We spent 5 nights at Mimosa while in Grahamstown for a Rugby festival at Kingswood College. Memre was a fantastic host and her attention to detail; fresh flowers, a fruit bowl and the kitchen stocked to enable us to wake up on the first morning and have coffee and something to eat before we found our way around Grahamstown. We stayed in the B and B with friends and even stayed in the one night and chatted around the kitchen table. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back next time we are in Grahamstown. A very lovely home away from home.
